Hot on the heels of the Yikes! LP, London Elektricity is back with a superb set of remixes from the creme de la creme of contemporary, worldwide D+B talent.
Debuted exclusively on Fabios Radio One show these remixes showcase the full spectrum of D+B in 2011 from the instant dancefloor appeal of Danny Byrd and Logistics, to the ice cold experimentalism of Unquote. Each remixer has imprinted their unique sound onto the LE originals.
As with the original album, the enchanting vocals of Elsa Esmeralda are at the fore. Having appeared at a number of Hospitality shows alongside London Elek- tricity (at the O2 Academy Brixton, Parklife Festival in Manchester, and Digital in Brighton) Elsa has become a firm favourite with the Hospital fanbase.
Kicking off the tracklisting S.P.Y takes to the helm with his sublime re-work of Elektricity Will Keep Me Warm. A producer who has really risen to the fore in the last year, Brazilian born S.P.Y smooths out the pia- no-driven original into a late night party gem. Hospital homeboy Logistics comes up with a foolproof Plan That Cannot Fail - working with the innate musicality of the piece, increasing the dancefloor sensibility with a trouser flapping bassline. Annie Mac favourite Lung is up next with his blissfully euphoric take on title track Yikes! before Danny Byrd hammers home with the Hospitality anthem Meteorites.
Things get deeper and more twisted further into the tracklisting with hotly tipped antipodean talent Roy- alston smashing Round The World In a Day into a sawtooth stepper, Bratislavas B Complex chops up the breaks on Invisible Worlds before the Eastern block triple of Russias Enei and Unquote alongside Estonias Mutated Forms show what they can do. Rounding off this international super-nova of breakbeat science we head back to the UK for some future Jungle vibes as Stray adds dubbed out subs to Had a Little Fight for a climactic finish.
